Để viết lại câu từ chủ động sang bị động, chúng ta cần chú ý đến việc chuyển đổi thì, đổi vị ngữ, thêm "be + V3" và thêm "by + người thực hiện".

Ví dụ:
- Câu gốc: People speak English all over the world.
- Câu viết lại: English is spoken all over the world (by people).

- Câu gốc: Tom was writing 2 poems.
- Câu viết lại: 2 poems were being written by Tom.

- Câu gốc: She often takes her dog for a walk.
