Would you mind trong tiếng Anh có nghĩa là “bạn làm ơn/ bạn vui lòng …”, “bạn có phiền không nếu…”. Chúng ta thường sử dụng cấu trúc Would you mind để hỏi hay đề nghị ai giúp đỡ một cách lịch sự cũng như trang trọng. Ví dụ: Would you mind if I sat here? (Bạn có phiền không nếu tôi ngồi đây?).
