On the first three days of the year, my family will have a special feast to welcome the new year. We will visit our grandparents and extended family to pay our respects and exchange good wishes. We will also participate in traditional games and activities as a way to bring luck and happiness for the rest of the year.

There are several activities that people should do during Tet, such as giving lucky money to children, visiting relatives and friends, and offering prayers at the family altar. On the other hand, people should avoid arguing or speaking ill of others during this festive season.

During Tet, people usually cook traditional dishes like banh chung (sticky rice cake), nem (spring rolls), and mut (candied fruits). These dishes are believed to bring good luck and prosperity for the new year.

The symbols of my Tet holiday include the red and gold colors, which represent luck and prosperity. Other symbols include the zodiac animal of the year and traditional Tet decorations like the Tet pole and parallel sentences.

My family decorates our house with colorful flowers, such as peach blossoms and kumquat trees, as they symbolize luck and prosperity. We also hang red and gold decorations, which are believed to bring good fortune for the new year.
