Để chuyển các câu từ dạng chủ động sang dạng bị động, chúng ta cần làm như sau:
- Đối với câu chủ đề active: Subject + verb + object
- Đổi vị trí của object và verb, sau đó thêm "be" và past participle của động từ trong câu chủ đề active.
- Nếu cần, thì thêm "by + active subject" vào cuối câu bị động.

Ví dụ:
